No the manga adaptation is not a suitable replacement, it skips so much that it become incomprehensible near the end if you haven't read the novel.

Ya'll need to read Lost Stars, easily one of the best Star Wars books ever made in either canon or EU.
Just make sure the original novel, there's a manga adaptation but the manga skips so much that it becomes complete mess near the end.

Arcueid's Tsukihime Remake Melty Blood Type Lumina redesign is garbage. Give her back the dress, it's supposed to be a mix of modern casual and traditional, now it's just a generic anime skirt and it looks like generic anime garbage. Also, they turned her into a Saber face. 🙄

It's an angsty YA romance so it fits the meme, but also it is legitimately well written and is my favorite Star Wars story.
