Regardless, lightwhips just work differently in new canon from the one recent example we've gotten. I don't have a preference either way, but I've never been the biggest fan of the lightwhip.

And I mean the original novel which is a masterpiece, not the manga which skips like 2/3 of the story making it really hard to follow without context from the original book.
