I'll look at how Elendil, the 'author' of Akallabêth, grapples with the theodicy of a loving God who destroys an entire civilization. 🌊

Got to Treebeard reading LOTR to the kids tonight and just started weeping.

If a tree had eyes, this is what they would look like. If a tree could speak, this is what it would sound like. It's Tolkien at his truest, his most Real. I love it beyond words.

@JoelMerriner While we're on the subject, can't forget Swedish musician Bo Hansson's space-rock classic 'Music Inspired by the Lord of the Rings' (1970) which was released in different territories with different covers - including a rare gatefold by Rodney Matthews (#3)!

Some things I don't have in common with Tolkien, some I do. Our lifelong recurring Dream of the Wave is probably the most weirdly specific one.
