For theme of parties, celebrations and festivals, there's really only one thing that comes to mind:

A marker pen sketch for No, it's not a festival, but it is Bombur, celebrating life with a pie 🥧

As mentioned this morning when I opened up I wrote a blog about the River-maidens (https://t.co/QV1qj709px).
I didn't add the Marsh-Hag (p.23) from Francesco Nepitello's The One Ring RPG "Lake-Town" book with art by

so “water” was a bit of a headscratcher of a theme but of course: Lake-town. A view of Lake-town rebuilt from The One Ring RPG 1e and the map from the Lake-town Guide.

Nienna, whose element was grief, was one of the most powerful Valar. Her name contained the word nië ("tear"). Her tears symbolized pity and they saved the last fruit and flower of the damaged Two Trees. She taught Olorin/Gandalf about compassion.

My post will be a little art-heavy as I think this "Unexpected Party" seriously deserves a very special mention.

To me it is one of the most hilarious things has ever written and I absolutely love it.

It is a feast 🍺🤣🍢🍷

Today’s theme is song, and I had to dig deep into the Mathom-house for this one.

From the TOR 1e Lake-town supplement. A friend of the game, wise in the ways of song. In 300+ images there were very few renderings of real people. This was one of the exceptions.

- This week’s theme is Trees. I made this painting as a personal piece before I could share anything made The One Ring RPG before release. Later this one appeared in the card game Hobbit Tales.

‘Romance’ has grown out of ‘allegory,’ and its wars are still derived from the ‘inner war’ of allegory in which good is on one side and various modes of badness on the other. In real life men are on both sides.'
