The armor on the cover of Hide's album, Hide Your Face, is based on the HR Giger sculpture, The Watch Guardian. The version of the armor used for the album was sculpted by effects artist Screaming Mad George (Guyver, Bride of Reanimator).

Maybe I'm reading too much into this, but Nakoruru's SNK Heroines costume bears a striking resemblance to Ranze from Tokimeki Tonight.
