Keeping in mind that this game came years before Resident Evil brought the zombie genre and it's many tropes into the gaming mainstream, this is a remarkably refined and beautiful zombie walking/shambling animation?
What doesn't look so great is that Ryu runs as if he's just heard the jingle jangle of an ice cream van 🍦
'Hydra' from Shinobi 3.
This guy was terrifying to look at back in the early 90s, and is still an incredible looking sprite to this day.
Could he be one of the greatest 16bit bosses of all time...?

Whilst I like the concept of Transformers with a huge number of modes, it's just not a very workable concept?
Sixshot's the best of them but his modes all look excessively chunky to me, Quickswitch is MUCH worse, and half of RiD Mega/Galvatron's don't look like...well, anything?
The arcade version of Altered Beast had an awesome ending, implying that the whole thing was just a movie!
I always liked the guy dressed as a leech 😀

@SupernerdsT In the early 90's book Stay Sonic, which was the earliest introduction to the character's lore, his original name was Dr Ovi Kintobor and he was a friend of Sonic who originally granted him his super speed, until an accident involving a gene splicer and rotten egg mutated him 😢
Cyber Shinobi on the Sega Master System
Despite some really nice graphics for the time, the gameplay was slow and clunky, and UGH that HUD, could they have made it any bigger?!
Even as a kid I fancied the red kunoichi's in Stage 2 though 😋
'as a kid'...

T-Shirts featuring my designs are just some of many merchandise pieces I hope to create one day.
What's the best Metroid-Vania style game you've ever played, including indie titles?
@SupernerdsT Ax Battler for me, particularly in Golden Axe 2.
His Level 3 Wind spell sucks up all the enemies on screen and he then throws them all together, so if he's facing a hole when you use it, you can one shot entire waves for just three potions
Brains AND brawns! 🧠💪🏼
