⭐️Cover reveal!⭐️
This is a new edition of the Newbery Medal-winning classic, Crispin and the Cross of Lead by Avi. It's a story of loss and betrayal but also hope and redemption, all of which I've tried to reflect in Crispin's expression. Beautiful design by @jennyckimura.
I love 1920s Deco style. One of the most enjoyable aspects of illustrating #TheSupremeLie by @GMcCaughrean was creating the period details, such as these adverts, objects and architecture.
@lazyzoe @EmilyKTalbot @UA_Books Indeed. All Le Guin's work is profound a beautiful. I'm quite glad Earthsea isn't illustrated much, in a way - keeps it unique in the reader's imagination. Have you seen Charles Vess' illustrated Earthsea?
Here's a little thing I did, inspired by 'bright the hawk's flight'.😊
Can it really be #portfolioday again already?
I usually share my children's fiction illustrations but thought I'd try something a bit different this time round.
Here are some charcoal drawings. I'd love to get commissioned for more of this sort of thing! 😊
@hireillo Thanks for the share! There's some client work I can't show just yet, but otherwise here's the cover for @JJELSON35's new book and a recent personal piece.
Oh! It was #NationalPetDay yesterday.
Sometimes I paint them. So, a bit late but here are good boys, Billie and Dexy.
Also found this ink portrait of the man himself - Victor Hugo. https://t.co/6lb4Gfvyk7
Found this old charcoal drawing when I was fishing around for something in my plans chest.
(From Toilers of the Sea by Victor Hugo, commissioned by Guernsey post, 2016.)

I found your gouache set in 2017. Until then I struggled to get the look I wanted in paint, but digital never felt organic enough. I had two breakthrough pieces which established my current style: A commission for Xmas postage stamps & a personal piece based on His Dark Materials https://t.co/uLujqxdmWP
British Summer Time begins.
Here is a sun god from my Liminal drawing series.
