The art + the artist
Thought I'd jump on this trend as I have a new pretentious-moody biog pic. 😂
But also, go and look at Nataša's work, It's ACE. https://t.co/q7iyEsUtOX
Signed 6”x6” print, ‘Bright the Hawk’s Flight’, off to its new home.

@Tracy_Chevalier Hard to choose, but I've loved The Chamber Idyll by Edward Calvert since art college. I've been lucky enough to see an original print alongside the actual engraving block. It's smaller than a credit card and is one of the most exquisite, sensual pieces of art I know.
The Chamber Idyll by Edward Calvert, 1831.
Wood engraving, 41 x 76mm
Apart from the exquisite technical skill (this engraving is smaller than a credit card) this has to be one of the most sensuous images in Western Art. ❤️
⭐️Cover Reveal Claxon!⭐️ So pleased to be able to share the cover for Raven Winter, the beautiful new book by @sbaileywriter, out Nov '21 from @FarshoreBooks.
Here's a little animation I made from bits of the artwork. ☺️
Tomorrow is the official ⭐️cover-reveal⭐️ for the new novel by @sbaileywriter, acclaimed author of Snow Foal and Otters' Moon.
It's such a pleasure to illustrate Sue's beautiful books. Here's another sneak preview!
Thanks so much for the likes and retoots for Crispin. If you're interested in such things, here are some sketches of initial cover ideas and also colour roughs exploring different palette combinations. https://t.co/AYkT0EAx3l
