Today 14 years ago, the system of player moderators was launched.

The new login message when Construction was released on this day in 2006.
Today 8 years ago, the desert/ice/jungle strykewyrms were released.
The Staff of Light was added to the game during that update as well.
Today 11 years ago, the quest Cold War was released.
One of my favourite quests.
At one point, Jagex was seriously considering the idea of RuneScape Classic cheat servers (no joke), but they went for re-openings instead.
If only everyone had listened to him back in the Tutorial Island days.
So many mutes and bans could have been prevented.
Today 12 years ago, these random events were added to the game.
That evil chicken...
