@bookclubmembers Like Harrow County, one of the main themes of the Mucus Man story was monsters that seem scary at first might actually be harmless. Going all the way back to Frankenstein, the idea of a sympathetic monster is something I’m always a mark for.

@bookclubmembers I used the tree roots again in these sample pages for a Mucus Man comic I was working on a few years back. The silhouette with the “claws” and “horns” is what I remember the one by my grandparents house looking like.

The look has changed a lot over the last year. Trying to find the right level of cartoony.

I just finished watching all the Rebuild Evangelion movies and definitely admire the ambition, even if I find the intentional obfuscation a bit overblown.

Here are all Eva commissions I’ve done. The designs are brilliant but very difficult to draw.
