The amount of times I’ve seen reactors think this show is about fighting skeletons and then go “where are the skeletons?” later is astounding. They’re metaphorical my guy. This also begins the trend of Gintoki thinking about his past and waking up being surrounded by others.

Iconic, iconic opening. I love how it begins with a background reminiscent of the manga covers! Alongside that, I really like this shot where they all jump off and it ends with Gintoki landing in a different scene. I’m a big fan of flow when it comes to openings.

I love this show's art style and character design, but oh my god, it was the stupidest shit I swear.

After writing this, I think it's because I'm more likely to associate Gintoki's with the show. It's never really a great Gintoki moment; it's a great moment in the show. I feel like Hijikata is able to distanfe himself there a bit because he isn't the protagonist.

Idk why but I'm always extremely reluctant to truly love the main protagonist. Like, I like Gintoki and Kagura the same, but I always forget about the fact that Gintoki exists when ranking characters. I just wonder if I would love Gintoki more if he wasn't the main dude.

I'm sorry, but this is all I can think of whenever I see this Katsura art. Yes, I'm cursed.

I made some Gintama autumn themed profile pictures! I picked Gintoki because Gintoki month, and Kamui and Sakamoto kind of fit the fall vibe. I might use one of these, not too sure.
