Armored CV Hime finally gets whittled down to her final form, & our multinational fleet led by Nelson pounds her fleet to oblivion before the sun even sets, living up to the reputation of her namesake. But, my God, all the effort it took to get here...

The route itself is hazardous, with PT Imps, submarine lolis & double Ne CA's constantly forcing retreats, but Armored CV Hime isn't actually that tough a nut to crack. The problem's getting to her in the first place.

Brought to her final form, EU Hime is finally defeated by a torpedo from Lucky Jervis for the exact amount of damage needed. During the daytime, Jervis was sinking but was brought back from the brink by emergency damage control. Lucky indeed!

European Hime, a tough foe which I failed to beat in the past on 甲 difficulty, makes a comeback. While her main fleet at this point isn't actually that hard, her vanguard leaves Force H in tatters half of the time, constantly forcing it back to Gibraltar for repairs.

It's a brutal fight off Cape Calabria, forcing me to commit limited resources & some of my best units into the battle. It turns out some of them weren't needed, which, along with spotty internet the past few days, is quite frustrating. Anyways, welcome aboard, Shorty di Cavour.

After several attempts with varying degrees of success, Верный & an amphibious assault with DD Shermans finally kick Summer Harbor Hime out of Genoa. Force H, its CV's rather the worse for wear, sails into the newly-liberated port.

But trouble's a-brewing just off Calabria...

Force H, composed mainly of NATO ships, engages Summer Harbor Hime & her 15" guns at Genoa. It's a cakewalk for the most part until she is reinforced near the end by a pair of Super Ne-class CA's & I was too dumbfounded to take a screenshot of Force H's hurried withdrawal.
