Afterwards, we pay a visit again to Lycorice Hime to beat the sh-- to obtain intelligence on the location of another task force somewhere in the vicinity. In the meantime, Takanami heads to the docks for a complete rebuild & modernization; good for her!

The 3rd fleet, consisting of Intrepid, Saratoga & Hornet, engages Jellyfish Hime & her own carrier task force. Fortunately, her armor is as soft as her namesake & bringing along 3 ships dedicated to AAA might have been a tad overkill on my part. Use 'em or lose 'em, yeah?

Just got it this year when it was 50% off, eminently satisfied, should've done this years ago. Feels much more natural than that other program which was primarily intended for photomanipulation. Clothing folds are fun again!

Lunga Pt. CA Hime was defeated handily enough by 2nd Torp Sqn the other day, with most of the work done by bombers (again). Afterwards, reinforcements arrive from the US in the form of USS Northampton.

The way is clear to move against Lycoris Hime & her installations.

CV Hime was a cakewalk, since all her ASW-capable ships were KO'd before the battle even started & 6th fleet happened to consist entirely of submarines. The bombers supporting the op took a real pounding, though.

New gear was delivered afterwards, but no sign of I-203.

More fictional soldiery, not-Greek Phalangite infantry. Boeotian pattern helmet. Nylothorax is basically a linothorax using bal.nylon. There's only one pic of the EPK I can find, so a lot's guesswork. Left done w/CSP, right w/PS a few yrs back. Osprey stuff for posing ref.

Continuing w/fictional soldiers, not-French Poilu line infantry ca. 1247 S.R. Armed w/MAT 44, std. pattern armored vest w/add'l shoulder & neck protection, rigid chest plate. Material advancements & manufacturing processes made possible with the use of 'X' compounds.

Early not-Russian combat exo, ca. 1233 S.R. Basically powered pair of legs supporting a wpn & much armor. SteadiCam rig hardpoint moved to the side in production models due to issues w/the prone position. Fast, low-cost R&D & mfg since they didn't bother w/powered upper limbs.

Not-Brits in my Dieselpunk setting. Nascent mechanized infantry to go w/introduction of AFVs. Left pic used Tamiya box art as ref. Contemporary armor better than IRL due to 'new technologies.'

Since there's no actual -punk themes, perhaps Dieselpulp would be a better term?
