I just really wanted to draw Clay. He looks like one of the dinosaurs from land before time to me and I love it. I tried simplifying his design, say if I wanted to animate him. #wof #WingsofFire

Other designs are purely aesthetic. Sparkpaw(Bakugou) is based on the Laperm while Stickypaw(Sero) is a Cornish Rex. Sometimes I just look at a cat and be like, yep that's definately *insert character here*.

Tiny detail I noticed with Simba a while back. As a cub, he has an uneven number of whiskers. 4 on his right, 3 on his left

Okay for starters, I like basing my design off real cat breeds and that applies here. For example, Mosspaw(Midoriya) and Frogpaw(Tsuyu) are based on the Cymric and Japanese Bobtail breeds respectably. This ties into their quirks as well, since these breeds are known for leaping.
