Character portrait changes between World Warrior (top row) and Champion Edition. Most were minor, Dhalsim & Honda's eyes, Ryu & Zangief's chiseled features and Chun & Blanka's colors. Super tiny changes include Balrog (Claw)'s shoulder and Ken & Dhalsim's fingers.
The first of two Shinkiro pieces I'll be posting w/ Ingrid. This is from Capcom Fighting Jam (called Evolution in America for some reason). I don't love this piece, but Rose and Chun-Li looking up at Ingrid and Ryu and Demitri looking away is a cool effect.
Lots of Ingrid love - bit of a surprise, really. Some image relating to the cosmic curiosity. Reminder: there was a Dark Ingrid in the planning stages - likely when she succumbs to Psycho Power (à la Satsui No Hadou Ryu). Oh well!
Poison's Final Fight Revenge model and her SFV one. Massive resolution difference, of course. I agree - no clue what took Capcom so long to cash in on her...legs, breasts, long hair, bad-girl attitude, etc.etc.etc.
Capcom Fighting All-Stars covered individual series with three fighters each: Zero, SFII, SFIII, Vampire/Darkstalkers and Warzard/Red Earth. But another group was in the planning stages: SF1! Eagle's CVS2 sprites would join Retsu and a scarless Sagat were planned but scrapped.
Capcom Fighting All-Stars: Code Holder - here we see some of the character art. While the canceled game was apparently not very good, I still think the concept was cool!
SFII Game Boy sprites - both the standard and Super GB versions. Developed by Sun L, this was a strange mix of WW and later upgrades. The biggest change: Claw, Dhalsim & Honda were all absent! Link play and mirror matches were present though knowing who was whom was a challenge!
In addition to the five numbered series, EX and Zero/Alpha, there's a lot of related releases compiled in a later chapter. One such? SF Puzzle Spirits. I ripped the character art from this curious puzzler and think it looks fantastic!
Just a reminder: Street Fighter Compendium is 250 pages+ and covers every SF game ever released with every fighter included as well as related characters, merchandise tie-in info, anime and film details, books, comics and so much more. On sale digitally (PDF) or physically.
Bonus Doll Entry: Soldiers! My fascination (obsession?) has borne fruit and now we're done with dolls - well, except for one final update! Advance and Junior soldiers. C'mon Capcom, just toss us some side mode featuring them. I know single-player content is unpopular. Pleeease?
