#FolkloreThursday In Manx Folklore the Glashtyn were aquatic equine creatures that ranged from benevolent farm helpers to skirt-clinging nuisances to sinister presences that pulled passers-by to a watery grave. Such water-horses are common across the world.
#FolkloreThursday #NationalStorytellingWeek One of my favourite traditional tales is Maud and the Dragon or The Dragon of Mordiford. Legend has it that in a small English community a girl, Maud, found and raised a baby dragon. Sadly, it regressed to its beastly nature...
#SnowflakeChallenge2019 Day 3: Favourite Piece of Canon - The most horrifically chilling dystopia for me is probably IDW's pre-war Cybertron, partly because it was so unexpected and partly because of the terrible practice of Empurata, the mutilation of body and mind.
#Dreamwave Shockwave sure does seem to have a favourite word, hmm? Perhaps this is where #TFP Shockwave gets it from... (I love how unsubtle the characterisation is, even #G1 didn't mention it every time he appears, it's great!)

#FolkloreThursday The snow maiden or child is an archetype in many cultures that experience snow. She is often a very sad figure, as she will long to be with humankind, but usually ends up either melted or accidentally killing her human companions with her cold nature.
December 10th - Nora Helmer. Another one from classic literature, but hey, it's classic for a reason. Nora appeared in Henrik Ibsen's play A Doll's House, where she shocked the 19th century audience. Truly an icon of character development.

December 5th - Mina Harker. Going old-school, I love the original Mina Harker from Bram Stoker's #Dracula. Incredibly ahead of her time, Mina was clever, brave and innovative well before women were even seen to be capable of those things in literature.

December 2nd - Lalli Hotakainen. From @hummingfluff's incredible webcomic #StandStillStaySilent. Lalli is a severely introverted Finnish mage, struggling with language barriers in one of the most creative post-apocalyptic worlds I've seen.

#LLQs So... The Lunarians in issue #25 give me very strong Rung vibes. Perhaps it's just something about the eyes (or eyebrows!), but I was wondering... Has our introverted god of light reincarnated in some way? Is it significant that the funeralbot was #113?
