Title screen of Mario Bros. II, a homebrew C64 port of Mario Bros.
Though renamed "Rudy" in the English script of Dr. Mario 64, the main villain of Wario Land 3 is only ever called "A hidden figure" in the game itself. He retains the "A hidden figure" moniker in the Japanese script of Dr. Mario 64 despite being decidely not hidden.
Beside Wario himself and Mario's quick appearance in the ending, the only thing from the previous Mario Land games to reappear in Super Mario Land 3: Wario Land is the Bē enemy (AKA B Fly, AKA Haemaru, AKA a bee, my god)
We salute its franchise-bridging power.
