My favorite part about the animal-themed helmets is that when you just crop out the animal faces, they have the stupidest expressions.

You don't notice an artist's design affinities until you put them all together.

@KendallFire07 See, I used to think it was weird at first too. But now I feel like the Mach 5 feels a bit naked without some color on the bottom half.
Plus, I think it's cool that Speed's outfit has the exact same color pallet as his car. Half blue, half white, with red and yellow highlights.
Since Speed Racer is trending, I gotta point out we've been lied to this whole time.
The Mach 5 is canonically a two-toned car that's has a bluish-gray bottom half. It's on all the Japanese promotional material and merchandise.
The US artwork mistook it as an all white car.
