A couple posts ago, I mentioned Tech's intelligence being inconsistent, and that's due to the CPU lodged in his brain.
His organic brain leaves much to be desired, but the CPU makes him a super genius.
Only, it's faulty and only works sometimes.

In later Mega Man X games and all throughout the Mega Man Zero series, Zero is just kinda “serious sword man” with little other personality.
Games like X4, 5, and 6 showed way more nuance to his character (I think)
