I bought the first issue hoping this #DoctorSTRANGE angle would factor into it.
(I recall being disappointed, and thinking that replacing the Moon with an Ankh was dumb.)

As for New Avengers: Illuminati,
I chose it mostly because I like them as a concept, & the art is gorgeous.

Bendis sucks, & the issues aren't really a cohesive story, but more a selection of events which chart the various failings of the group leading to Secret Invasion.

@_Lady_Strange @di_wey Actually, (I hate starting a reply with "actually" in these "mansplainy" times Haha) there ARE still character style guides,but these days are used more for ancillary products.

That's why you'll see the same pose/drawings on everything for a few years,until it's changed again.

Now, look... I like Blade, and I realize it's very temporary, and not quite in context, but... at this point, who HASN'T (or won't) be the #SorcererSupreme?

In late 1980s/early90s t'was "Window on the Worlds"& before that just a window.
Early wards&spells were around the house, tho not always used & random strength.
Window as"seal"only 2B nerfed & broken when needed..by anyone.

@DUK_diduknow @shootbits This "fact" is untrue.
ONE writer, on a short stint, introduced that #DoctorSTRANGE eats... unconventional foodstuffs (eyeballs, tentacles, poisonous whatnot) because he thought it was "weird".

But Strange has eaten normal food since his beginnings, and since that writer left.

I'm just going to leave these two glorious pieces of artwork here... y'know...just in case anyone wants to animate them. 😉

Marvel says he was born 1930 (Stan&Steve meant it to be earlier obv, but '30s fine).

The characters are ALL annoying. BAD writing (annoying children behaving annoyingly,in what I assume SkottieYoung thinks is kid-speak") & #DoctorSTRANGE's magics made EZ.
