@TheEsteemedFox It is! I think Bosch was part of this tradition, but he (with his talent) took things even further.
OK, I know steroids can be bad, but I had an injection today & I can walk without much pain! Injured my foot by walking around too much in the house in February 2020. Got physical therapy/ice packs, still painful. Now mostly bereft of pain 🥰🙏💕🎉
#Caterday Iwao Akiyama (1921-2014) created this Tiger (1985) that shares the crabby/worried spirit of his cat prints: Assassin (1994); Spring is Here (1994); I Love My Shoes (2002).

#FontsOnFriday Love antiquarian sources, but they sometimes contradict. From 1810 source, Sudbury, St. Gregory, Suffolk font cover was “adorned w/ the four lambs ..., symbols of the evangelists & angels w/shields w/ different family arms." But 1791 print does not show this. 😪
#SquirrelAppreciationDay Trunch, St. Botolph, Norfolk font canopy, interior SW column, c. 1500; MS M.0080, fol. 149v, Milan, 1450-1475, Morgan Library: "Pen flourished initial D with foliate extenders inhabited by squirrel, holding branch to mouth with front paws."
