@kfoxx_writes Red Shoes often features Genet doing "mundane" things like driving somewhere, eating a burger, or spacing out at work. Thing is, while her BODY performs "boring" tasks, her MIND is puzzling out solutions to various crises.
Though physically vigorous, Genet lives in her head.
@ELChandler5 In RED SHOES, Genet does not kill anyone herself. Her actions lead to at least three entities getting killed, but they kinda deserve it.

Sarcastic AF; also often blind to stuff until it's pointed out to her
Loyal, brave, and willing to admit her mistakes
@klhicks912 Her love of puzzles. I got that idea from an old girlfriend of mine who decorated the walls of our apartment with finished jigsaw puzzles, and it influenced the narrative flow as well as the MC's personality in RED SHOES.
@InkWellSpills The characters. Red Shoes began as a sequel to a webcomic I did about a decade ago with @SymeBryan. We took the comic down because both of us had too many other commitments, so the novel originated with the idea of picking up with those characters five years later.
@SoCal_Chemistry Sort of. I art direct them, and our graphic designer @noclaws4alarm does the actual design. @damianaswan has shot many of our Quiet Thunder covers, but I hire other artists, too. When working freelance with publishers, I usually write up art notes for the covers and interior.
@GabriellaBuba Genet's hair color is right there on the cover. And her friend Blue dyes her own hair to match her name.
