I don't have a single universal way I do painting, so I'll show you a couple.

This one was lazy because I used multiply and a lighten of some sort. Blue and orange, as warm light makes cool shadows (opposed colors usually)

Another practice sketch run amok. Over time she got an increasingly 60s/70s vibe but I dig it. I've decided her name is Denni. She's a modern girl but she loves throwback fashion and chunky bracelets. She likes music, pottery, houseplants, and science fiction. She has two cats.

@Kmetteuh Congratulations and thanks for the share! I do all sorts of creative stuff - photography, sculpture, writing, etc - but I'll post some digital work since I've done recentlyish since that's what most people in the thread will probably be most interested in.

Speaking of punchier images, here's another one that I fixed the values on... and never reposted anywhere. Sometimes I really can't see what needs tweaking until I've had some time away from it.

If it were a more important piece I'd have done each color individually.

Didn't feel like working on my big project today so I did some practice sketching. Just working out forms and stuff. I threw some clothes on her just to remind myself that I could, in fact, still drew clothes. Then, being the person I am, I kept fucking with it.
