@PatrickZircher This is the kind of narration I want to see return to comics; there was a sense of genuine drama to storytelling back in the day. (Note that both examples are from writer/artists.)
@KurtBusiek Did you see Batman Universe by @BRIANMBENDIS and @NickDerington? It was a six-issue story that had Batman with a different hero in each issue. Very much an entry-level approach for the DC heroes. A lot of fun - wish they'd kept it going.
Happy Birthday, @WalterSimonson! You're still showing everyone else how it's done! ❤️
I see Cybermen is trending. CYBERMEN CYBERMEN CYBERMEN CYBERMEN CYBERMEN CYBERMEN CYBERMEN CYBERMEN CYBERMEN CYBERMEN CYBERMEN CYBERMEN CYBERMEN CYBERMEN CYBERMEN CYBERMEN CYBERMEN CYBERMEN CYBERMEN CYBERMEN CYBERMEN CYBERMEN CYBERMEN CYBERMEN CYBERMEN CYBERMEN CYBERMEN CYBERMEN
@mattsouthworth @CTropes There's also this wraparound cover for The Jack Kirby Collector.
The first Spidey/Scorpion fight in AS #20 was deadly serious, but Ditko goes for the funny this time. Check out the repetition in the second and fourth panels here. Lee pushes it even further with an upside-down word balloon! 4/5
