It's fitting really that Seungho notices almost everything about his little lover because he never takes his eyes off him but fails to realize that in the end it isn't the expensive music that soothes Nakyum but him - his warmth, presence, embrace and love.
Even NK, despite his love for IH was hesitant to cling to IN, as if he were afraid IH would be disgusted of him. However, he clings to SH as if his life depended on it.
He was uncomfortable, forcing himself to do it and feeling repulsed.
On the other hand, Seungho keeps giving him so many things without demanding or expecting anything in return. He gives him a music box, his warmth, his lap, his love and protection,... he gives him the comfort IH never could because he was incapable of it.
Instead of helping and consoling NK, IH demanded that NK did something for him in exchange for IH being nice to him. He sent him to SH, gaslighting him. despite knowing NK was afraid of him. It's not unconditional but something like a trade off
Seungho isn't ashamed of his affection for Nakyum and he shows it proudly for the whole world to see. Nor does he fear about his own image or reputation, which is fitting since he never did.
Seungho doesn't give a damn who is watching or what they are thinking about him. The only person he cares about is Nakyum whose wellbeing is his priority, to whom he promised he wouldn't frighten him anymore, yet here he is, lying on the cold ground scared to death.
only caring about his ambitions and losing his chance to gain a government post and the power that goes with it. He broke his promises to NK repeatedly, merely using NK, as if a promise made to a lowborn meant nothing.
Nakyum becoming Seungho's lover has been greatly beneficial to the town's economy. Food, clothing, trinkets, music boxes even the king doesn't own,... the moment NK looks at it, needs it or thinks of it, SH buys it for him. Their relationship is the town's merchants' golden goose
