This fabulous beast is my answer to both the question above and the question of "what's my favourite dinosaur".

Sometimes I draw things that aren't dinosaurs, but I very rarely publicly share them because I often really don't like the finished results. However, I thought I might share this thing I've been sitting on for at least a year, because I don't completely hate it...

One of my favourite fictionalised dinosaur designs is the absurdly oversized "Triceratops titan" unit from the 2006 real-time strategy game Paraworld. As an RTS it's fairly average, but damn, this thing is metal as heck.

Also, I would submit the Troodon modelled by Vlad Konstantinov for Dinosaur Revolution as worthy contenders. While the rendering isn't as detailed as the Dinoworld models, they have primaries and tail feathers, and at a glance seem to be slightly better in terms of general shape.

I'm happy to see that the A. jimmadseni name has finally been formalised. A truly wonderful set of specimens, congrats to Chure & Loewen! On a nostalgic level, it's also nice to see that good ol' "Big Al" has at last been formally assigned to a species! https://t.co/ZUkNeIUnTH

There's enough content in KoTOR to fill mutliple films. But if you want more, then KoTOR has an almost equally well-loved sequel in KoTOR II: The Sith Lords (though mods are needed to fix a few broken elements). The Old Republic MMORPG also functions surprisingly well...(cont'd)

I think that 's Deinonychus paintings have been very important on the outreach front. For kids growing up in the 90s/early 00s, these were probably the first images of feathered dinosaurs that they had seen due to their appearance in lots of popular books and magazines.

My recent baby tyrannosaur gave me the painting bug, so here's the very, VERY early rough stages of a new WIP. I might try more varied perspectives after more practice, but for now I find profile poses to be a comfortable outlet to experiment and learn in.

Another WIP, slowly getting there with the little tyrant. Still very messy and unrendered (I feel very out of practice), but it's gradually building towards something I'm relatively happy with. I'm not looking forward to the legs.

A very early WIP of a baby tyrannosaur. If you can't tell by the very messy strokes, it's been many years since I've attempted painting. I'm having to relearn a lot of skills, but it's refreshing to take a break from technical drawings and 3D models.
