@knightmeowth Like, I know we haven't seen a lot of Sonic insects, but if we look at how they're handled... You just take the basic 30s character design and stick a couple bug elements on, and you have a bug. Just like how they were handled in classic cartoons

@TopSpinTheFuzzy I think they're left vague now so they don't risk alienating any new players. But they started out explicit, Ocarina of Time is just a fleshed-out retelling of the story from ALttP's manual. It retconned some, but the seven sages sealing Ganon in the Sacred Realm comes from here

@bogleech Also worth noting that most of the ones you've posted here are actually alternate images made later. The actual original stock art images were more static than these. Most of the gen 3 art mimics the posing of the OG art (you did post the OG Ponyta, though)
