@todbooklady @ThrosThrosThros Liz's photos were a marvellous prompt for conversation (either that or I bored her to death).
So the pineapple reminded me of this fine work by Barbara Jones: Pineapple House, Stirling 1971.

#Caturday From an immaculate loaf formation (left) to a really fierce wildcat (right).
Inspiring C20th #womenartists Gwen John & Dame Elisabeth Frink equally. Both pictures, Tate Gallery collection.

It's my mum Helen's 87th birthday today. I chose the Quentin Blake card for her (left) as it represented her decades of running the art bookshop Ars Artis with dad.
The pear blossom from the garden reminds me that Helen gave me an enjoyment of plants, among many other things 💙
@C20thPosters Happy Birthday! Some super graphic designs to mark the occasion.
Left, poster by Frederick William Charles (John) Farleigh, 1947.
Right, Country walks; spring, by Hans Unger, 1956.

The River of God. From: Pilgrim's Progress, 1928 (left).
Waterlilies, 1930 (detail, right).

The Luttrell Psalter. British Library, Add MS 42130.
Whether you are a Shepherd or a President, there's something about a friendly canine (or two) that lifts everyone's mood. @WSheepdog #FirstDogs
#TinyLion of the Day.
