本日は、ニエト アルベルトの作品をご紹介いたします。

『黒い馬と黒い顔』

周りを見渡す、または記憶の中の存在を思い出すとき、その一つ一つはどのような歴史、物語、背景をもっているでしょうか。→

After the death of Toyokuni III, he studied under Kunisada II and succeeded Kunisada's name as the third generation in 1889 and changed his name to Kochoro. After 1894, he changed his name to Hosai.

Hosai “Danshichi Kurobei, Kyogen for July, Meiji-Za Theater”
Hosai was a student of Toyokuni III and called himself Kunisada IV. After the death of Toyokuni III, he studied under Kunisada II.

さらに明治24年以降、豊斎と号しました。主に開化絵、役者絵を描き、初代市川左團次の似顔絵を得意としていて、風俗画も多く描いていました。

豊斎 『明治座七月狂言 団七九郎兵衛』
豊斎は豊国三代の門人で、国政四代と称しました。豊国三代の没後、国貞二代に学びます。明治22年に三代目として国貞の名を継ぎ、香蝶楼と号します。

芳豊 『舶来大象之弁』
芳豊ははじめは国貞に絵を学んでいたが、国貞のもとを出奔し国芳の門に入ります。ちょうど国貞が豊国を名乗った時だったので、わざと芳豊の名を与えたといいます。

江戸時代の各時期の風俗や美人を取り上げ、大判3枚にわたって大きく描かれた人物、そして美しい着物の模様が印象的なシリーズです。
