So @habaneroach brought up the concept of invertebrate Sonic characters, with a Big-inspired Tardigrade being one idea, and I wanted to try making one.

Getting it to at least look like the species while keeping a Sonic feel was a fun challenge, and I'm happy with the results!

Felt like drawing Sonic again. Shocker.
In this case, I wanted to go for how he'd appear in the WF universe, incorporating bits from his SA1, SA2 and Unleashed appearances into my own artstyle, with pose from an SA1 artwork.

I don't know why I suddenly wanted to draw a Sonic tonight. But it happened.

I'll be honest. Looking at Flare's old death sprite again (on the right there), it's reminding me of the old 2019 movie Sonic design.

Plus, you can barely SEE his arms in front of his spikes, especially with his default Crimson colours in-game.

Anyway, some 2.0 progress.
