The Salmon Run band ω-3 has a very interesting name dont you think? Well if you were wondering, it is pronounced "Omega-3", which is in reference to the Omega-3 fatty acids in fish oils, such as those from salmon!

HaikaraWalker reveals that 3 Band members participate in a rainmaker team, these being:
-Kuze / Hightide Era
-Ryū-Chang / SashiMori
-Blow Bottom / Bottom Feeders
Interestingly though, all of these characters are more fish-like and likely don't produce their own ink, how is that?

Ah, I have found something! As pointed out by @taikowasa in the replies, some of the instruments seen here, or atleast very similar ones, can actually be seen in Splatfest art, specifically the Rock vs Pop art! (JP only in Splatoon 2!)

The inklings in Smash have 2 alternate costumes that could potentially be Agent 3, but neither is certain.
Alt 3 has the entire hero set but uses the Splattershot and standard ink tank.
Alt 4 has the Armour Jacket, but none of the other pieces... how could he get ahold of that?
