I'm looking up more art from Pokkén and you know, that game's art style can be kinda hit or miss, some Pokémon look better than others with it, but when they look nice they look REALLY nice

Not to say that the design are bad or anything, they're good, they're just not super interesting to talk about

but then there's also the ones that *don't* have super great designs

I'm looking back at the mega evolutions and like... opinions in it as a mechanic aside, most of these designs really are just "I guess it's cooler than the base Pokémon but you didn't really add much to it on a conceptual level"

Mega Sharpedo is just Sharpedo with spikes

...you know what? Lucario's weird snout nose actually kinda reminds me of this
