Started playing Yoshi's Island DS, just beat the first boss and so far I honestly don't have much to say besides that the game feels like the SNES one but *just* different enough for it to not be a remake. Also the music isn't great, and the sprite quality is... inconsistent
7. Pocket Fighter (PS1) - 04/12
Finished Arcade Mode as Sakura.
This game is crazy, it's full to the brim of Capcom references, with characters bouncing all over the place and changing their outfit every second. It's super fun tho, and extremelly charming, I really recommend it!
2. Alcahest (SNES) - 03/19
I'd say this is one of HAL's best SNES games! While the story is unimpressive, the gameplay is fun and VERY forgiving, and the game's pacing is remarkable, its lenght feels just right. Its excellent Jun Ishikawa OST, of course, also deserves a mention
Castlevania Judgment designs were so wild. I don't think I like any of them, but I almost have some sort of appreciation for just how weird and different they tried to be
I occasionally remember about how Kirby Star Allies just casually gave us the best piece of art ever, we really should appreciate this thing more often I think
I still love how Mega Man X5's localized boss names were based on Guns N' Roses members. I don't even listen to Guns N' Roses, I just think the reference is super cool, these names sound awesome. It's a shame they changed them for the anniversary collection
