“Portrait of Ian”
Oil on 10” board
In 2017 I had a conversation with an artist during his Common Ground Exhibition in @burslemart. The encouragement and advice he freely gave got me painting. Our subsequent friendship revealed many shared passions; a kinship.

#GraysonsArtClub returns to @Channel4 8pm tonight.
Grayson’s work and social commentary is superb. I’ve travelled extensively to his exhibitions. In 2010 I completed his portrait, “When Grayson Speaks.”
I hope to exhibit it in 2021 before putting it up for sale.

Delighted that “Apples with Stoneware - Good Enough to Eat” has been purchased by a collector from Flying Ducks Gallery in Stone. Thanks to @angiefordb for promoting many local artists.
“My Father Speaks of Arthur”
Oil on 80cm canvas
There’s a dyadic relationship between the poem and painting which celebrates the life and work of the late Arthur Berry.
Arthur influenced many creatives in The Potteries as tutor, fellow artist and sometime drinking partner.
Have you listened yet to @LaLettes wall-of-sound album? - “i Godge, Goj, Gols and Gods” is a great Lockdown tonic and the sleeve art, well, hopefully the first of many.
