(1/7) This oversized bronze statue of the Roman Emperor Trebonianus Gallus was produced in the 3rd century CE, and stands at an imposing 2.41m tall!

This we present this 4th century BCE marble grave stone of a dead youth.

Discovered on the island of Rheneia, it depicts a young boy with an adult. These scenes of quiet contemplation were common on Classical Greek stelae.

Along with thanking and appreciating our doctors and nurses who have worked tirelessly throughout the pandemic, we wanted to mention the god of medicine - Asclepius ⚕️

Even today, the rod of Asclepius is still found in many medical settings!

in 538 CE the Ostrogoth siege of Rome, led by King Vitiges, ends in failure.

Repelled by the tactical prowess of the Roman general Belisarius, Vitiges fled north to Ravenna to regroup.

in 375 BCE the temple of Juno Lucina was dedicated on the Esquiline Hill. This temple was in use until at least the imperial period.

Prior to the temple's construction, worship took place in a sacred grove on the site.
