weirdly enough, Elson, even while in this era, seems to alternate between how to draw his spikes, dragging this latter look for years to come even after the comic had ended.
After issue 100, we keep the same artstyle somewhat, until soon after, a great change occurs....He gains Toei spikes. That's pretty much it.
The moment he set foot on the studio he was already the best. He came to STC at issue 8, and while still keeping the American design, he has now way more "Japanese" proportions than even the future depictions, as you'll see soon. Past the weird back, this was a great era for STC
