#wip Hollis nuzzles Rowhan’s chest and lets out a contented sigh.
Rowhan drags his fingers through his soft bright hair, that reflects the moonlight.
“You seem at peace, baby,” he chuckles.
“Mmmhm.” Hollis tightens his hold and breathes in deeply. “You smell like home.”

I had a day dream where Hollis was riding a white deer surrounded by sunbeams in the middle of a forest.
Pre-Rowhan days. Life was very lonely. And the occasional sighting of an ethereal figure riding upon a white stag, became a local legend. But no one ever saw him. Until...

Green clouds swirled around Hollis’ hands and once dried and brown vines sprang to life, and curled around him. He lifted inches off the ground. His green eyes began to glow. His eyes met Rowhan, who’s mouth dropped open in amazement.
“Like what you see?” Hollis asked.
“I do.”

“My life is all the more colorful with you in it,” Rowhan said as he reached up and caressed Hollis’ horns.
Hollis chuckled and leaned down, resting his chin on top of Rowhan’s head.
“I can say the same.”

It had been hours since Hollis stirred from bed. Sleeping never came easy, due to nightmares.
Rowhan snored soundly nearby. A smile spread across Hollis’ face as he crawled onto of him.
“Row, time to wake up.”
Grey-blue eyes opened and he flashed a sleepy smile.
“Mmm morning.”

They name the tree Fiona and they decorate her every year.

Hollis has lost a lot of friends thanks to trees begin chopped down and then thrown away. It’s not that he’s against using natural resources, he just doesn’t like waste
Rowhan loves Christmas, and although he knows he may never change Hollis’ mind he wants to make it better.
