Now that the render base is in place, I work on refining the forms, textures, lighting, and background. Sometimes around this stage I'll adjust the character design to better fit the composition, as I did in this piece with her breastplate.

From here, I begin to develop my render base by establishing the form and lighting for the piece, saving the smaller details for later.

Once the sketch is done, I use the lasso tool to section out the flat colors.
