When I found inspiration to write this, it came in the form of Kaiju Girl Caramelise as well as Jaco The Galactic Patrolman. When reading, there’s obvious nods and references to Godzilla and even Ultraman, but truthfully I take the most inspiration from these two manga right here

Just watched this, and honestly it’s one of the best movies of the year. It’s so what the fuck off the walls bonkers that it just fucking works. It’s been a long time since we’ve had a movie as unique as this one. I definitely see an Oscar for Editing in its future.

When I started the creative process for Carmen I knew from the beginning that I wanted the Pink Fighter to be a Gyaru. I also wanted her to have some relation to one of the characters in Tonkatsu! So eventually she became Erika’s cousin!
