There is quite a difference between a character having or giving themselves a tan and Black Face. There are plenty of tanned characters in manga and anime, yet for some reason when Marin gives herself a tan it’s problematic? Last I checked having a tan isn’t “Anti-Black”
Like come on guys. It’s a tan she gave herself using foundation from her makeup so she can cosplay a character from a video game who has a tan!
@PsychoCheese100 Yeah, he’s a God from actual Chinese mythology. He has a couple of animated movies that are on Netflix, one which is called Nezha, and another called Nezha Reborn. Nezha is more like the mythology. He happens to be one of Gods Sun Wukong solo’s before getting help from later.
When I sat down and began writing Tonkatsu and Guardian Fighters, a lot was going on in the world. We had both the BLM protests as well as StopAsianHate going at the same time. I wanted to create new heroes that the Black and Asian communities could look to in a time of peril.
Also in May is a Shin Ultraman Ichiban Kuji with only an A and B prize. The B Prize is Shin Ultraman with a more metallic color.
