Tyson Hesse would be a great artist to give Sonic a new look. His style shines even when he illustrates the classic and modern design. I think a reimagining in Tyson’s style, with a sharp look, and a simplified texture, similar to movie Sonic, would make a great new look.

Alright so I see the “Sonic’s arms need to be tan so it stand out from his body” and I totally understand that for the first games. Despite my nitpicks with the silhouette, I believe the increased size of the dorsal plates for the 2019/21 is an overall improvement over 2014’s design. I like the 54 inspired spines, but I find the 2014 spines more unique. Would’ve been cool to see the 2014 spines, but larger.
The one thing I hope for this starter is that it doesn’t become bipedal @Pokemon
