Now the friend (now ex-friend) who was the main contact, had me redraw the effing "ruby hair" on her character a dozen times. It's not ruby colored, it was literal ruby, but also a braid, and no, she had no references. She only knew what didn't work.
I cried over that hair.
So my second mistake was to not charge for designing. They gave me no visual reference besides a picture of a bird to get the color right on the feathers.
I do have a commission price sheet. I calculated how much each character- color, complete body, would cost. At that moment, it was 60$ (canadian). My first mistake was to charge the same price for a better quality of art.
Example of characters on regular price:
Right now I'm working on my portfolio, because I need a job, but once that's done, I'm working full steam on AppleSeeds, a series of adventure books for girls, with friendship, adventure and diversity at its core. (I'll probably make a kickstarter for that, stay tuned.)
I'm also very into Good Omens and I love drawing fanart, you can find those prints on my Etsy https://t.co/5g19eMCub6
Some of you may have seen my Avengers Pinup Calendar, where I draw male avengers in skimpy poses, just because. No more calendars, but the prints are available on my Etsy https://t.co/h7YBb1EvKK (there's a lot more over there!)
I respect the staging directions of @HamiltonMusical but I always imagined the scene where Hamilton came to see Burr at night like a Romeo and Juliet balcony style, with Burr in his nightclothes and Alexander yelling from the street that he needs him. Lin, hire me to storyboard.
Since #Hamilton is now on Disney Plus, the Schuyler sisters are now Disney princesses.
(Does that mean @Lin_Manuel is also a princess?)
Karen comic, take 2.
I was told -rightfully so- that the first version erased black women from the narrative, so I made some changes to fix it.
kinda overwhelmed by the response to the karen comic, tbh. (not because it's bad, i'm glad it resonates with so many people, but that's a LOT of notifications)
