If someone says I'm cool I instantly don't believe them. My imposter syndrome won't let me.
"High Functioning" and "Low Functioning" just seem to be labels for how well an autistic person can function within capitalism. They're not used to help us. They're used by neurotypicals to determine our worth in their eyes.

My partner and I had really low self-esteems when we met. We'd been so beaten down by others that by the time we met we didn't know our actual worth. Thankfully we've been helping each other see ourselves in more positive lights.
When people tell me to "be normal" they're telling me to "be neurotypical" and I'm just not for that.

Hey everyone! I'm going to be taking July off.
Both me and my partner are incredibly fatigued, and need a break. Since my partner will have July off from teaching I figured it would be best for us to just enjoy time off together to try and recover. See you again in August!
If I don't have a list, or a memo, or just anything to remind me of something I'm going to forget it. My phone has so many alerts on it just to remind me to post my comics.

It's amazing how much better I've gotten at reading body language after living in China for 4 years. My Mandarin still sucks though.
It's interesting how parents who tell autistic people to not let their diagnosis define them sure do love defining themselves with their child's diagnosis, and by interesting I mean annoying.
I'm finally fully vaccinated, and if you can, you should try to get fully vaccinated as well! Not only will you be helping defeat the pandemic, and protecting those who are unable to get vaccinated, but you'll also be getting a level up!
Autistic adults aren't child-minded. Don't infantilize us, talk down to us, or belittle us. We are adults, and we deserve to be treated as such.
