I have friends under the age of forty who require canes for reasons such as fibromyalgia, chronic pain, and permanent injury, and yet are treated as liars who are trying to cheat the system. Just because someone isn't elderly doesn't mean that they are completely physically able.
Never ask me for an honest opinion if you don't want one, please! It'll just make both of our lives easier. I will answer 100% honestly, and I will be confused if you get upset.

Not only do I have issues with volume control, but I have issues with tone control as well, so I've been told that I sound angry when I don't even realize it. The problem with not realizing that my tone sounds one way is that I can't catch it in the future.

I am all about symmetry especially with my sense of touch. If I step on a bump with one foot I need to step on it with the other foot. If I stub a finger on one hand I have to stub the finger on the other hand. It can be a bit annoying...and injury inducing.

More fan art! This time from the marvelous Ara! I love this so much! It shows how us autistics may not express much on the outside, but deep inside we have so much going on! Thank you for this wonderful art Ara!

Behold!! My very first fan art!! (as well as the artist's rendition of my reaction to said fan art) The artist simply wanted to be known as Omni, but they are wonderful, and awesome!
For some reason there are people who believe that all autistic people are exactly the same despite age, gender, upbringing, or just, you know, personality. Every autistic person is their own person with their own personality.

I've seen a lot of discussion online about whether someone who is self-diagnosed should be accepted into the autistic community, and I say they should because there are so many ways that a person could be blocked from getting a diagnosis that are completely out of their control.
Dear parents: if you see your autistic child as a burden, and do nothing but complain about it, know that that autistic child will grow into an autistic adult who probably won't need you anymore, and will probably be sick of your toxic behaviour. Accept and appreciate your child.
Being called "high functional" to me has always meant "really smart, and basically not autistic" which isn't true. I'm no genius, and sometimes I do need help. How functional I am really depends on the situation, and my currently emotional and mental state. But that's just me.
