I have issues with accepting achievements that I've earned. When any achievement I did was severely downplayed by toxic people in my life, I've never been able to learn how to accept that something I did was worth celebrating.

I have fine motor skill issues, and it's so frustrating when I just want my fingers to do what I want them to do, and they won't do it, so sometimes throwing the thing I'm trying to work with is the only way I can get over my anger.

I don't know why, or how I came up with the term "neurotypical skullduggery" but I love it, and shall make it a regular part of my vocabulary. For those wondering, skullduggery means underhanded or dishonest behaviour.

I understand the want to help people who are depressed, but sadly it doesn't always work that way. When it comes to depression sometimes the only things that work are things like medication, coping mechanisms, or even just time.

Sometimes I love hugging everyone! Sometimes I can't even handle being hugged by my husband. My husband always gives me either a visual/audio cue that he knows that I know, and then enough time to let me accept the hug, or deny it.

My husband got a taste of touch sensory overload one morning a while ago when he drank too much the night before. I wonder how much of a hangover for neurotypical people is just sensory overload.

Being stressed, or overstimulated can be really draining, but it becomes much worse when I can't verbally communicate. If you find it frustrating when someone is non-verbal imagine being them, and are unable to simply talk with you.

The majority of autistic people don't want a cure, but there are some that do. I wonder, if we lived in a society that fully accepted, and accommodated autistic people would the number of autistic people who wanted a cure go down?

Looking back at my old drawings is always painful. It's like "Wow! I really used to suck!". I'm sure in 5 years I'll feel the exact same way about my current work. At least I know I'm always getting better
