Going through my art and trying to remind myself that, at some point, I knew how to draw. I will get back to that point.
@TannerTrue I don't know what the first popular "use" would have been, Patlabor seems likely!
All I know, who ever started it was like Prometheus stealing fire for humanity for artists of the late 80's/90's
All of my favorite 90's design tropes CONDENSED into one:
Shoulder Pads : ✅️
Bandanas : ✅️
Random Bandages : ✅️
Metal Screws on clothing : ✅️
Holes or "dots" in metal, EXCLUSIVELY in sets of 3 : ✅️✅️✅️
@TomasPraestholm Here are the raw pixels, it is interesting to see how the CRT handles it!
I'm still doing some repair work on my PC-9821As, but once it's up and running I want to do a little Joulie-guided "Doom II on PC-9821" thing 🙂
(She is the resident "Can it run Doom?" Expert, after all)
So I was looking at the trailer again, and thought they removed the iconic bottom-cylinder firing design of Vash's gun: Looking in detail, it seems to still fire from the bottom, but the "special" mechanisms are now below the barrel instead of on-top? Also looks to fire .22 LR
Today is apparently the 25th anniversary of Mischief Makers, that's wild to think about. Can't fully explain why I enjoy drawing it as much as I do, but I'll probably continue to do so in the future 😅
I was originally going to draw what was bugging me about the new trainer/character designs, but in the process I just ended up having more fun doing this little Sugimori-inspired doodle. No sense getting myself worked up over silly stuff.
