Dynasty Warriors 7's character artwork gets a lot of mileage out of its grays and browns in the background, with them never quite being the same shade. It also makes the characters themselves pop a lot more-- yet they're still perfectly shaded to fit in.
I really dig the more subtle bits of inhumanity here but then there's... there's... man, that's just a BIT much being put front and center.
Seeing Cell Jrs. for the first time in a stream made me wonder if there was a Cell Nendoroid and I see google gave me the wrong(?) but right(?) results to my search for "Nendoroid Cell".
Thinking about it Mega Man and Halo really are to blame for my inclinations towards themes of robot and AI identity in my own story/character concepts, huh? I feel like there had to be more to it but no, I think they just really resonated with me (and were basically a 1-2 punch).
I think this may be why spontaneous weapon generation has just been a thing I like.
The exact time I started noticing SMT seems like the exact time the series ended up most appealing to me, so that worked out somehow.
God Eater is funny because you'll stick out from the power trio like a sore thumb just because most of your options don't let you have as stylishly impractical looking an outfit.
So another rabbit hole was gone down and I'd heard of Punishing Gray Raven but what I hadn't heard is that the playable cast are all full conversion combat cyborgs? 👀
