This is a two colour intaglio print (etching and aquatint) on paper, depicting the river liffey, the north quays and three bridges, including the Ha'penny Bridge.
'Irish Battle Scene' ~ Countess Constance Markievicz.
The entire group is standing on a meadow and the background is taken up with a faint blue and grey sky. The warriors are dressed in toga-like garments and have strapped sandals, the straps reaching to the knees.
'Birds in Autumn' ~ Anne Yeats.
Anne was a daughter of the poet W.B. Yeats and a niece of the painter Jack B. Yeats and botanic artist Elizabeth Yeats. This is a two colour planogaphic print (lithograph) on paper, depicting three white birds in flight.
