Read Mermin Book 3 by @joeyweiser. I can't stop loving this series. On the surface (pun intended) it looks like another typical all-ages comic. But Weiser picked the right publisher (ONI) to let him unleash a typhoon (pun intended) of manga and toku inspired elements.

It's... really good? On the surface it looks like a basic kids comic, but for an all-ages book it's better than a lot of stuff I've read.

The Japanese influences are great. This feels like a gag manga that shifts into a legit battle manga.
