In #Mesopotamian #Mythology, #Nergal was the #god of #war, #destruction and #death. He was also the captive husband of the #Queen of the #Underworld/#Irkalla, the #goddess of death- #Ereshkigal. Nergal was a #powerful and #feared #deity.
